The purpose of the Missions Team at Rocky Mount is to share the love and presence of Christ with those both near and far through missional giving and hands-on service. This includes Local Missions Support through the Good Samaritan Fund and partnering with local organizations. It also extends to International Missions, including support and trips.
The purpose of the Congregational Care Ministry gives attention to the membership care of individuals and families of all ages within our congregation. The ministry teams provide emotional and physical support during life’s difficulties and offer classes and other opportunities to remain physically, emotionally, and spiritually fit. This includes the Congregational Care Team, Health Care Ministry, Visitation and Shut-In Communion, Baptism, and Chicks With Sticks.
This committee’s job is to intentionally relate unchurched people to Jesus Christ. At Rocky Mount, we have intentionally established a witness, outreach, and evangelism ministry team for the purposes of reaching out to those in our community who have no church home, and no relationship with Jesus Christ.
The purpose of the TRUSTEES is to oversee, maintain, and supervise all local church property including maintenance and risk management.
The purpose of the FINANCE committee is to identify, perfect, and manage the finance system for the congregation so that the mission and vision of the congregation can be achieved.
The purpose of this committee is to oversee the care and maintenance of the parsonage that is provided to the pastor of Rocky Mount Church.
The purpose of the Staff Parish Relations Committee is to be the administrative unit where staff and congregational interests are integrated to focus on the mission of the church.
Elected by the charge conference and composed of professing members of the local church, the purpose of this ministry team is to identify, develop, deploy, evaluate, and monitor Christian spiritual leadership for the congregation; engage in and be attentive to developing and enhancing their own Christian spiritual life in light of the mission of the Church.
The annual conference delegate is an elected person who shall function as an alternate lay representative of the laity in the church. Their responsibilities include fostering awareness of the role of laity both within the congregation and through their ministries in the home, workplace, community, and world. They are also the interpreter of the actions of the annual conference session to the administrative council.
